On Sunday 10 July, the Red Bull Fierste Ljepper returned to the Netherlands after 10 years. This edition was held in the beautiful city centre of Haarlem. During the day, there were several battles for titles, both for furthest jump, best student team or best Dutch celebrity.

We couldn't have done this without

Massive jumps

For the ladies, they jumped with a pole vault length of 11.5 metres. After everyone had jumped twice, once of which the jump ended in the water, Demi Groothedde managed to take the gold with a jump of 15.27 metres.

Then it was the turn of the men, who jumped with a pole vault of 14.5 metres. This involved only one jump, with many failing to reach the other side. Of the three men who did keep a dry suit, Rian Baas ran off with the gold with a jump of 17.09 metres.

Wet suits

After the professionals, it was the turn of the two teams with Dutch celebrities. Unfortunately, they all failed to make it across. The furthest jump came from Tim Senders with 13 metres.

Finally, it was time for the student teams from Delft, Groningen and Amsterdam. With a combined total of 63.75 metres, team Groningen managed to take first place, although they did all end up in the water.
