From July 13th, until July 17th 2022, ‘s-Hertogenbosch revolved around the European Championships Petanque 2022. After succesful World Championships (para)archery in 2019, the Parade was again the venue for an internation sportevent. On the famous square, there were 26 covered petanque courts. The top 109 petanque players were allowed to oprove themselves on these courts, in the categories; têtê-à-têtê (men and women), and doubletten (men, women, and mixed teams).

Aside from watching these matches, there also was the opportunity for visitors to enjoy good food, drink, and enjoy music and other entertainment options. Also, there were several side-events aimed to stimulate exercise for all genders and ages.
